The Eagle
THE EAGLE is the new journal of the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist. Named for the symbol of St. John, THE EAGLE is published monthly and posted online here.
THE EAGLE’s mission is a simple but vital one: evangelization. Each month, as the “Pope’s Church” in Fairfield County, we will strive to provide articles, by our Holy Father, our parish priests, laity, and guest authors, that will clarify the teachings of the Catholic Church and inspire every reader to greater holiness through better understanding of the Truth. After all, Jesus said, “If you remain in My Word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).
As Catholics we are united in our ultimate goal: salvation. May THE EAGLE provide a clearer flight path.
