Mass & Confessions

We offer two weekday Masses at 8: 00 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with confessions heard Monday through Friday, 7:30-7:50 a.m. and 11:30-11:50 a.m.
Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Likewise, Confessions are heard each Sunday: 7:00 a.m.-7:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.; 11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Mass follows the confession times.

Sunday Masses begin on Saturday evening at 4 pm; On Sundays, Masses are offered at 7:30 am, 8:30 am is the Latin Low Mass in the Extraordinary Form, and 10:am Mass, the 11:30 a.m. Mass is the solemn choir Mass, the 5pm is Mass without music, and the 6 pm Mass is in Creole and French.

Liturgical Music

Saint John’s choirs provide a variety of musical settings for the weekend Masses, all of which are in English. The Adult Choir offers traditional Catholic hymns at the Sat­urday 4: 00 p.m. Mass. The Children’s Choir sings each Sunday at the 10: 00 a.m. Family Mass, and, at the 11:30 a.m. Mass,  the Parish Choir offers Gre­gorian Chant, and polyphonic works from Tallis, Pal­estrina, Victoria, Mozart, Haydn, Faure and Vaughn Wil­liams and other Catholic liturgical works. The Haitian choir fills the church with the spiritual music of the Car­ibbean at the Sunday 6:00 p.m. Haitian Mass, celebrated in Creole and French.
